I was gifted a Medusa story goddess from Brigid’s Grove.  She inspired this.

Come, let me hold you,

twine you,

squeeze you

Close embracing,

Sliding sensuous,

sinuous,

round ribs,

forcing breath

from lungs,

throat-tightening,

stifling.

Life ebbing,

Turning you,

To bone,

stone.

Frozen numb,

feeling gone,

Skin drying,

stretching,

straining,

dying

Until

You split!

Wide open,

Shedding form

Torn,

Poured,

Naked, new born

Screaming

Un-seaming

into the world

Raw, ready

slick

with promise

and power.
